We are species with egos, a strong will to make themselves real. Let's face it, we take technology for granted. All right, let me rephrase since you all seem to be taking my question literally.

We Can’t Live without Technology

There are going to be wars and chaos and sooner or later, following a different routes or a million detours, we will probably arrive a similar point in making our lives, better, comfortable and easy to live. By neglecting basic human and mammalian instincts like socializing, family life and physical exertion, we have become artificial and hollow.

Ok for those that are still unsure, let me clarify. We live in an age where we have to be connected to everyone, everywhere, all the time. He had to live with whatever he was given and survived having to hunt and fight off dangerous predators that tried to hunt him out in the wild.

What would have happened. Where there is stuff to work with, humans will work with it. Vesuvius to the Assyrians instead of to the Romans, do we ever get the cement to build the Three Gorges Dam. However, I also tend to think that this kind of sudden change runs a risk of destroying humans.

No one needed my advice. I'm not saying we'd be "fine. I wanted to know what I had missed. I could be in the supermarket getting groceries and the person behind me is screaming into their cell phone, either fighting with a boyfriend or talking with a boss about work and ignoring everybody around them.

Writing in light of the recent release of the iphone 6, it is hard to imagine that our parents would have been considered lucky to have a fully functioning television just forty years ago. I got the perspective that I need to realign my priorities.

So the direction technological advances have taken in the past have been influenced by many aspects of philosophical and or religious trends of the times, all kinds of politics such as highly protected economic markets that literally forced different nations, etc.

I thank those who have said yes that technology is better and those who have said no, please think again on this matter. I would have to say some of us, the outdoor rugged grizzly Adam types, would survive in some manner however, quite a lot of us would simply perish. What if we actually gave ourselves permission to disconnect.
